Are you a music fan? Are you a fan of downtown Livingston?
For three days in October, the downtown community of Livingston will come alive with a celebration of music, and the creativity of songwriting. The streets, bars, cafes, and theaters of Livingston will become a gathering place for songwriters and music fans from Montana and around the country. This year’s festival is scheduled for Oct 1-3, 2026.
We need your help to make this happen. We would like your help to grow the Livingston Songwriter Festival and music education in our community. In addition to ticket sales, it takes the generosity of individual Patrons and Business Sponsors like you to make this festival a reality.
As a music fan, you know, songs have tremendous power to impact lives through music education, influence economic growth through tourism, and provide opportunity for songwriters to share their talents and songs with enduring music fans.
A few things you may not know:
- Only 40% of the revenues for the Livingston Songwriter Festival are generated by ticket sales. The remaining revenues are generated by the generosity of private donors, such as yourself, Patrons, and Business Sponsors.
- Over fifty-percent of ticket buyers travel from outside the Livingston area contributing significantly to our local economy.
- We directly engaged 14 songwriters from all over the country at last year’s festival providing them an opportunity to share their songs with the best fans in the world, you.
- In 2025 we were able to donate $5,00 the Park County High School Music Department in Livingston, Montana. Additionally, we provided $10,000 to the Red Lodge High School Music Department in Red Lodge, Montana.
This year, we’re gearing up for another fantastic festival with amazing songwriters, all the while supporting our community. As a Patron, you’re not just funding an event, you’re shaping the future of music and arts in Livingston.

Can we count on your support for the 3rd Annual Livingston Songwriter Festival, October 1 & 3, 2026?
Thank you in advance for your consideration. Your support will help us fulfill our three primary goals, promote the art of songwriting and share their music with you, our fans. Secondly, promote Livingston as a tourist destination for music, bringing incremental revenues to local businesses and thirdly and most importantly, support music education in our local communities. Since 2016 the Rocky Mountain Songwriter Festivals have donated over $140,000 for music education.
